Our strategy

We are committed to doing all we can to save lives on the roads of Cheshire and have at our disposal a range of highly skilled, knowledgeable, road safety professionals that include Road Safety Officers, Highway Engineers, Traffic Police Officers and Casualty Reduction Fire Fighters.

Working together, our strategy is to support and implement the three E's: Education, Engineering and Enforcement.

More specifically we will be looking to:

• Target resources at collision hot spot roads and at the most at risk road user groups
• Engage with local Road Safety Partnerships and Crime and Disorder Partnerships
• Deliver safety camera enforcement at known casualty hot spots
• Enhance Education and Training programmes
• Carry out a speed limit review
• Commission a speed awareness course
• Oversee new innovative projects
